Cold in Carolina
About
On a cold and snowy night in 1972, three members of one family were murdered in their house on the outskirts of the small town of Boone, North Carolina. Strangled and placed headfirst into a water-filled bathtub, the victims were Bryce Durham, 51, owner of a local car dealership; his wife, Virginia Durham, 44, who provided clerical support for the dealership; and their son, Bobby Durham, 18, a university student. Their murders and the ensuing decades of investigation would lead to more than fifty years of confusion and speculation. Who instigated the murders and why? Did members of Georgia's Dixie Mafia kill the Durhams as has been claimed?
