MUSINGS FROM A SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON (4/14/2018)

- God’s people are often unduly involved in peripheral issues. We get busy here and there about this and that and gradually drift away from the things that are really important in life.

- One powerful God-given antidote for depression and despair is to pray for others. When we can look beyond our own needs and think about the needs of others, we will find a wonderful relief from our own burdens.

- In death the world loses everything, but God’s children gain everything.

- There are millions who live lives of desperation, suffering from a lack of hope and an undefined future. This does not have to be so. Jesus did not come to give us a dark and bleak future. He came to give us life and to give it abundantly. Our circumstances may be bleak and our future here on earth uncertain, but saved people are assured of a home in heaven when we die and nothing can dim that promise.

- If we focus on the storms all around us, we will be depressed, but if we look to Jesus, we will not only have a different future; we will have a different outlook right now. We can live a life of great victory that is a testimony to our personal faith.

- The fact of the resurrection changes everything.
